Dirk Walhout

High School Principal

Serving since 2018.

"B.A. Calvin University M.Ed., Grand Valley State University Non-Profit Executive Leadership, Indiana University"

I come from a family of teachers. Some might say teaching is part of our DNA. Parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins–most of them teachers. After my first day of student-teaching in a high-school classroom, I knew I, too, wanted to follow the high calling and join the ranks of teaching. Upon graduating from Calvin University, I left West Michigan and headed for the East Coast where I taught at Eastern Christian (New Jersey) for 2 years. I returned to Michigan and served at Northern Michigan Christian (McBain) as a coach, teacher, and administrator for 23 years. In 2018, I accepted the High-School Principal position at Kalamazoo Christian, and I am eager and excited to lead KCHS through the next chapter or two of its story.
