International Private High School Students

At KCHS, we value the educational benefits of diverse global influences and cultural understanding in our private Christian school community. For our current students and families, the addition of international students to Kalamazoo Christian High School results in an increased cultural awareness and world perspective. Meanwhile, our international students benefit from the high-quality, Christ-centered high school education for which KCHS is recognized. Our international students can develop academically and spiritually with the support and encouragement of their host family and school community.

Our International Students Program is growing every year. Students are discovering this small but outstanding high school in the city of Kalamazoo. Kalamazoo is located halfway between Detroit and Chicago and is home to Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo College, as well as Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Entertainment, cultural experiences, a thriving downtown, museums, ski resorts, sports venues and more are what draw people to Kalamazoo.

What draws students to Kalamazoo Christian High School?

We are a comprehensive four-year high school enrolling an average of 245 students in grades 9-12. We are accredited by the North Central Association of Secondary Schools and Christian Schools International. In addition to offering academic rigor and excellent preparation for college and the workplace, Kalamazoo Christian High School strives to equip students with a distinctly Christian worldview. Each year an average of 96% of graduating seniors choose to continue their education, with 90% of them attending four-year schools, while the remaining students attend community college, trade school, enter the military or the workforce. We offer academic opportunities such as Quiz Bowl and T.E.A.M.S, for which we regularly score in the top percentage of the state and nation, we offer extra-curricular clubs such as Chess Club and Anime Club, and we also have many athletic opportunities in which students can participate (within the guidelines of the MHSAA).
