THANK YOU

·          As we end the school year, there are so many people we would like to thank.  People have been such a blessing to the Middle School.  We would hate to specifically name people in fear of forgetting someone.  Thank you to those who helped with:  hot lunch, Friday pizza, media center, staff treats, chaperones, parties,

·          For the wonderful lunch parents provided for the Teacher Appreciation Lunch.

 

CALENDAR

June 2-  No Hot Lunch

June 4 – Friday Pizza

June 8 – 8th grade Finale 1:15

June 9 – ½ day for 6th and 7th grade

 

2010-2011 SURVEYS

On Thursday each 6th and 7th grader will receive a Course Survey.  The surveys are due back no later than next Tuesday, June 8.  We apologize for the short turn around.

 

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION

For making our BoxTop turn in goal the “make your own sundae” will be on June 9, for 6th and 7th graders.  Eighth grade will have their sundaes on their Finale Day June 8.

 

HOT LUNCH

·          Hot lunch is in need of a new coordinator for the 10-11 school year.  Please talk to the office if you could possibly help out in this way.

·          There IS Friday pizza on June 4.

 

TRIP NEWS

Last week was the last regular TRIP day for the current school year.  Tomorrow (June 2) we will fill and distribute any BACK ORDERS and PREPAY orders.  We will also print and mail the TRIP Statements for the January thru May orders.  Summer TRIP dates will be:  June 23, July 14, August 4, & August 25.  Summer TRIP will be held at the Kal. Chr. High School in the classroom next to the Association Office.  If you have any questions, you can call Karen Millikan 269-506-7809.

TRIP STATEMENTS

TRIP statements are going out this week.  There is not enough time for these credits to be applied to your June 5 FACTS payment. Credits will be applied to your June 20 or July 5 FACTS payments. If you have any questions, please call the Association Office at 381-2044.

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL SUPPORT

We are looking for a leader or co-leaders to be in charge of our school support group next school year.  You are not alone - the office is there to help you.  Interested?  Call Toni Cramer 760-8872.

 

LOAVES AND FISHES

Thank you so much for a hosting a food  drive that provided an opportunity for others to contribute to Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes.  Due to your efforts, we have received donations in the amount of 365 pounds of food.  This plays an essential part in our efforts to provide emergency food assistance to those in need here in Kalamazoo County.

 

  

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS

June 14     9 to 3 M-Th

June 21      9 to 3 M-Th

June 28     Office is closed until Aug. 2    

 

BUS DRIVERS NEEDED

The Kalamazoo Christian Schools are in need of substitute route bus drivers.  This could eventually turn into driving a regular route.  Qualifications include a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a good driving record.  If you do not have a CDL, KCSA can help you with training.  If interested, please call Marc Verkaik, Principal, Kalamazoo Christian Elementary School, phone 269-544-2332.
