KCMS Newsletter 4-27-10
My wife Sarah and I appreciate prayers on our behalf during a second hospital stay related to chest pain this past Sunday night. I was discharged yesterday and am resting comfortably at home. A heart catheterization showed no problems with the coronary vessels or with the stents that had previously been placed in two of the vessels (before we moved to Michigan). Also, my heart looked very healthy, and we give thanks for a good report. I will be at home recuperating from the procedure through today and plan to return to work tomorrow. I look forward to enjoying another time of fellowship and prayer with middle school parents this Thurs., Apr. 29, 7:45 – 8:15 AM. – John B.

HOWARD HILL HUSTLE
“The Howard Hill Hustle” 5K Run/Walk Race and Kid’s 1K Fun Run will be held on Saturday, May 15. It is just over a month away and time to begin training if you have not already. If you are interested in running or walking the course on Saturday mornings, email Lisa DeHaan mdehaan@ashland.com.
There will be fabulous race giveaways, a few silent auction items, race photos, live music, post race massages, concessions, and many fun kids’ activities. Parking will be at the Stadium Drive apartments off Howard Street across from the High School. There will also be a valet service for personal items while you are running.
Parents and grandparents, if you do not plan on running, get involved by volunteering! We specifically need help in the runner’s galley (food tent), concessions, parking and take down. Students who may be looking for community service hours may also volunteer. If you are willing to help in these areas, please email Jackie VanderKooi jjvkooi@sbcglobal.net.
Go to the race website at howardhillhustle.kcsa.org to sign up.
