Why Kalamazoo Christian?
Kalamazoo Christian School has been providing quality education to students for over 130 years. We realize that choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you will make for your children. In fact, many of us have made the decision to send our own children to Kalamazoo Christian.
We believe that our educational offerings are second to none, and prepare students to succeed in college and to pursue God's calling in their lives. Our curriculum is intentionally designed from the vantage point of the Christian faith, believing that our students benefit from an educational experience that challenges them to place their knowledge and skills in the service of Christ and others.
Our staff is dedicated, highly educated, and cares deeply for the personal and academic success of each student. We are thankful for the students and families whom we serve, and look forward to a continued relationship with them.
Search Committee Update
Parents, Staff and Constituents of the Kalamazoo Christian Schools:
In accordance with school policy, the Executive Committee appointed a Search Committee to fill the position of Interim/Part Time School Leader.
The search committee established a job description and posted the position on the CSI and ACSI websites. The search committee also reached out to various members of our community to identify the best possible candidates. Several well qualified individuals applied. The committee narrowed down the field of candidates and conducted 4 interviews. Two of the candidates were from Michigan; two were from out-of-state.
After a lengthy review, the search committee has landed on a recommendation for the board. The committee recommends Dr. Roger Sikkenga to fill the Interim/Part Time School Leader role.
Dr. Sikkenga was the clear choice and brings a wealth of experience to the role. Dr. Sikkenga has demonstrated the leadership skills that are vital to the school at this time. Many of you may remember Dr. Sikkenga from the time that he served KCSA as High School Principal from 1980-1991.
